Easyriders Australia SMC Ipswich Chapter

Jenny and I leave for 5 weeks motorcycling in Tassie on Friday. We have a Saturday  night in Kings Cross and we've booked a return passage on the Spirit of Tasmania. We've got an outside (porthole) cabin so at least i can see if we're sinking. We stay 4 or 5 days in self contained cabins in nice sounding places like ,Boat Habour Beach, Strahan Wilderness Lodge, Steele's Island Retreat, Scamander Beach and Liffey Falls. All the cabins have a view and direct access to beach or bush.

We pray for fair weather and safe riding, your best wishes will help to make that come true !!

Hi Guys,

Smooth trip on the SoT, not a ripple at Devonport, slight swell leaving Port Phillip Bay. 4 days in the north west at Boat Harbour Beach. Road kill ( Pademelons) everywhere, always on the line, at the apex of blind corners. Dangerous, but I've perfected push bar swerves. Twisties galore on the way up to Cradle mountain, 2 degrees and cold. Spent the last 4 nights at Strahan ( Sth West), Macquarie Harbour. Cruised the Gordon river and took the rack and pinion train from Queenstown to Strahan. Harbour is 6 times the size of Port Jackson but only has a 200 metre entrance to the southern ocean. Rough and Windy. Harleys galore, HOG national rally on at Launceston this weekend. They've taken over the bars, roads ( we ride around 'em) and women. All safe, Ride over Lake St Clair to Hobart tomorrow then on to Steele Island, half way twixt Hobart and Port Arthur. All safe and loving it ,hope the same for you. See ya
